Overview

The deployment corresponded to two systems made of a set of devices and prototypes, installed in the region of Batalha. The deployment also included the DemoLab, which is a laboratory demonstrator.
Installed systems in the Batalha region
The region of Batalha holds a distribution grid – operated by EDP Distribuição – which presents a deficit regarding the quality of service (QoS) key performance indicators. The goal of Monitor BT project is to deploy automation and control features down to the LV distribution grid, aiming at improving its quality of service and of energy, comprising grid safety, grid resilience and grid status awareness.
DEMO 1 – Secondary Substation

The DemoLab

The DemoLab serves the purpose of demonstrating the algorithms for voltage regulation, aiming at mitigating the impact of PV micro-generation on LV grid assets.
